Connecting young minds across borders

An exchange program for children aged 6–12, promoting cultural connections and mutual understanding between schools in the UK and Ethiopia

ABOUT US

What is Sitota?

Sitota is an innovative educational initiative connecting young learners in the UK and Africa through live virtual cultural exchange programs.

Designed for children aged 6 to 12, Sitota's "Culture Club" creates meaningful interschool international experiences that promote cultural connections, mutual understanding, and respect. Through these dynamic exchanges, students not only build friendships across borders but also deepen their knowledge of global cultures and strengthen international relations.

Along the way, students develop vital skills for the future, including digital skills, digital literacy, public speaking, communication, collaboration, teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking — empowering them to thrive in an interconnected world.

Why Choose Sitota?

A movement for a more connected, inclusive world. Connecting classrooms and changing futures. With future-ready digital skills, and a unique ambassador program, Sitota builds global citizens who make a real difference. We’re shaping education for a better tomorrow.

Sitota Session Highlight

Sitota Culture Club

Culture club

At Sitota Culture Club, we believe culture is the heart of connection. Through every session, young people celebrate who they are, discover new traditions, and form friendships across borders. We share languages, stories, and dreams, building a future where understanding, respect, and unity lead the way. Sitota Culture Club inspires the next generation to see the world not as strangers, but as a global family.

Story Telling Sessions

Story telling

At Sitota, storytelling is more than sharing tales — it’s about honouring voices, building bridges, and inspiring change. Through powerful stories from around the world, young people discover new cultures, challenge old biases, and celebrate the richness of human experience. Together, we create stories that can be shared — stories that spark understanding, build empathy, and inspire pride. Every voice matters, and every story helps shape a more connected, compassionate world.

Creative Arts Session

Creative arts

At Sitota, creativity is a powerful tool for connection and change. Through our Creative Arts Program, young people explore culture through music, art, and dance — expressing their identities while discovering others. We create art that tells stories, celebrates diversity, and sparks conversations across borders. This journey is captured and built into a team documentary, showcasing the power of collaboration, creativity, and cultural pride. Every project is a step toward creating a more colorful, connected, and compassionate world.

Sitota Culture club has been transformative for children in our school. Students have learnt to advocate for themselves, to be global citizens and have taken away lifelong memories. We would recommend it to any school, it really is a rewarding experience.

I just wanted to express my sincere thanks and praise for the Culture Club. Our children gained so much from speaking with children so many miles away! They enjoyed exploring the similarities between our worlds. Projects like this are so valuable. The project has actively broadened our children's horizons and improved their confidence.
